Our aim is to put ourselves in our clients’ shoes and offer them a level of service that goes above and beyond. We take the time to understand your issues and explain what’s needed to rectify them. We take into account your budget and offer you a system that fulfils all your requirements, within the limits of what you can afford.

So when we ask you the question: “What is your budget?” it is not to find out how much we can charge you. It’s to understand what the best product or service is for you.

Our typical clients are home owners, landlords and small businesses; our electrical and security services, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control installation and maintenance, or electrical repairs, first and second fixing, are suitable for both small and large scale projects.

Fanar Security is based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London, but we serve clients in the whole of London, and depending on feasibility, across Kent, Surrey and Essex.

After qualifying as an electrician and specialising in security, I have worked for over 20 years for some of South East England’s top security and electronics companies as an installation and service engineer. As the independent requests for electrical and security work increased, in 2013 I decided to channel my experience to serve my own clients, founding what is now called Fanar Security.

As a professional security engineer I bring to my business and my clients over 20 years’ experience in this field. Fanar Security is mostly a family business, but at powerhouse a that.

Enquiries and requests are picked up by both myself and Elisabetta, who deals with the admin, invoicing and generally looking after our customers when we are on site. I’m the main face of the business, but on a day to day I bring on board my associate who is also specialised in electrics and is a certified tester too. We love our set up – we like to keep things simple and clear for our clients. No complicated contracts, processes, fancy words, or office hierarchies.



“Fanar” means “lighthouse” in a different language. A lighthouse is a symbol of safety and protection, values that we feel are at the core of the services we offer. When I founded Fanar Security I wanted to give my clients a service that made them feel safe and looked after.

We know there is nothing worse than having a sudden problem and not knowing how to fix it. We understand that clients feel vulnerable when they get burgled or their alarm system breaks down, and then, to add injury to pain, you struggle to find an engineer you can trust to provide you timely and professional support. We don’t like any of our clients to ever feel that way!
